INTERIOR REVIEW OF THE 2023 CHEVROLET TRAVERSE

The interior of the 2023 Traverse is well-built. Its infotainment system may not be the most advanced, but it's easy to use. It has a clear menu structure, vibrant graphics, and a quick response time. Additionally, many physical controls allow drivers to quickly change the audio and climate system.

The Traverse is one of the most capable midsize SUVs in cargo space. It has a maximum capacity of 98.2 cubic feet, with 23 cubic feet of space behind the third row and 57.8 cubic feet behind the second. Moreover, two types of power liftgates are available: manual and hands-free.

The Traverse can accommodate up to seven passengers in models with second-row captain's chairs and eight passengers in those with a second-row bench seat. Passengers can enjoy plenty of head and leg room in the first and second rows, and the seats are plush and comfortable.

The second-row outboard seats of the Traverse have two complete sets of latch connectors for the easy installation of child safety seats. Additionally, the middle seat in the second row of the eight-seater model has a tether anchor. All models have tether anchors for each of the three third-row seats.

EXTERIOR REVIEW OF THE 2023 CHEVROLET TRAVERSE

The 2023 Chevrolet Traverse has such a roomy interior because it’s large on the outside. It measures just over 17 feet long, roughly the same size as most minivans. Twenty-inch alloy wheels on the higher trim levels replace the 18-inch wheels on the lower trims. However, buyers of any new Traverse can choose larger rims. Roof rails are optional in the base LS trim and standard on the other trims.

The Midnight and Sport packages are available on the LS and LT trims. These packages are ideal for those who want cars with mostly black exterior components. A Redline Edition package with similar black details and red accents in the alloy wheels is available for the Premier trim.

POWER AND PERFORMANCE OF THE 2023 CHEVROLET TRAVERSE

Powering all trims of the 2023 Chevy Traverse is a 3.6-liter V-6 engine with 310 horsepower and 266 pound-feet of torque. A nine-speed automatic transmission sends power to the standard front-wheel drive system. An all-wheel drive is optional on all trims.

The V-6 engine unquestionably offers sufficient power to pass and merge on the highway quickly. Shifting gears is also quick and smooth. Front-wheel drive models achieve an EPA rating of 18 mpg for city driving and 27 mpg for highway driving. Models with all-wheel drive have a rating of 17 mpg for city driving and 25 mpg for highway driving.

The Traverse has composed handling and a solid road presence. It also has quick and confident steering and minimizes body rolls when cornering at high speeds. The suspension provides a smooth ride for passengers. When properly equipped, the Traverse can tow up to 5,000 pounds.
